When you Z a frame 90% angles are a bad idea they need some angle especially with the hight difference between the frame rails. As it drives down the road the frame will flex allot and no matter how strong you make it those joints they are going to crack over time. Since the frame is already built and installed you probably don't want to start from scratch so at least make some 45% gussets and weld them in were the frame 90% are that should help with the strength of the frame
