It continues to amaze me that shops are putting out such pieces of art. It is truly humbling when I go back to my project and realize "I can do better". Well, not really. I don't have the skill or the money! But it is fun to dream.

wyattoneable You can you have to take your time I've seen some of the Badest cars come out of small garages I'm in a wheelchair and I built some of my own rides my first car was a parts car I bought from my father for $50 it was a 68 Toyota Corolla 4 door took an ugly duckling and made a beautiful swan out of it put a 51 Buick grill cut down of course and got old metal chrome BMW bumper guards and put all 4 on the front bumper with Apple tones lamps on the hood the stock hub caps I drilled holes in the middle to put spinner knock offs with white wall tires my Pops and I rebuilt the 4 strock engine where gas was a $1. I got great gas mileage in that Car and went to just about every car show in the 4 years I owned it and got thumbs up everywhere I went in it, my father had many of those little cars he just never seen my vision of one and I built many cars after that with help of course but like everything it's a challenge. Some people drive as the work on there's they may change a few things at a time, I live in California So there are many many shops and Car guys to swap parts with that helps to

Totally Different than his normal build. Inthe past a lot of his cars were all wheel drive and the addition of some type of boost. This to me may be regarded as a timeless classic. Good pick Mr. Scotty D.

Hey Scottie would you ever consider doing videos of old Cords, Auburns, Duisenbergs or other prewar cars that aren’t hot rods? I just wish I could find more coverage of those kind of cars and you do such a good job in your videos. I know they’ll be boring restorations or maybe stock survivors but if you ever do see any, I would love to see them! Great video as usual!!

Adolf Hitler’s Cousin Doug Pebble beach is where all the Big Dogs with lots and lots of money ship haul there Big Boy toys in to show these Cars are really Judged if you ain't of money your Car is not going to get in or really rare.

SNOOP U 2 Definitely agree! I loveeee watching the live streams of Pebble online. The cars there take my breath away. And I catch a lot of them on Chasing Classic Cars. Scottie is good at catching cars and talking to owners about what it took to get them to the point they’re at and I’d love to see more prewar cars! I am probably in the severe minority though!!

Sweater Wearing Squirrel I agree Scottie does do a great job on interviews and getting good shots of the cars trucks and just about anything his filming letting his viewer's seem like they are right there with him the only thing is being there in person and seeing the paint is a whole lot different from seeing it in person I've seen it on video and in person the same car and the pictures and video does the ride no justice. Yes I got to see some of those cars that were in a warehouse before they got to the show they are very huge for 4 people to ride in i can imagine the people that could afford those cars back then they must have come from wealth those cars are not the average person ride the details that go into building them is so much I can imagine when some body finds one in a barn the amount of hours and money it would take to get it back to its glory days I can see just by owning it someone would have to take care of it like a horse to keep it show conditions to run and everything working I don't think those cars can site around and be ready for shows cars need to be ran and drove at least a few times a year I'm guessing.

Awesome car, thanks for shooting it! :D Now, please give up on the matching engine to body thing! Hot rodders have been mismatching engines since forever and I must say it feels like it's mostly Ford fan boys that get upset by it, but you know if some one made a bitchin slammed 36 Chevy coup with a Dodge demon or a Ford Coyote engine in it, you'd shoot it in a heart beat!
@ScottieDTV
@ScottieDTV 6 жыл бұрын
No...it's that back in the day SBC were the easy switch....now you can go to any parts department and buy a create motor and put it in the correct car....I was born and raised in a GM home....I have owned one Ford in my life...The Mustang I drive now....
@Platypus2048
@Platypus2048 6 жыл бұрын
I'm sorry, I had you pegged for a Ford boy, but my overall point stands. I see no reason to limit oneself to enjoying custom cars only if the engine manufacturer matches the body manufacturer. It seams totally pointless, but that's me. Don't tell me you wouldn't shoot that 36 Chevy, Scottie ;). Thanks for sharing the passion for custom cars with the world! :D
