A note on your bearing grease. Highly recommend Sta-Lube Drum Brake Grease Vice the Timken grease. Much stringier and will not expand over time.

Thanks for the tip. We’ll look into that down the road.

Difficult to tell 100%, but looks that the seal may be installed backwards. The lip should face the bearing. It’s somewhat counterintuitive until you analyze the direction of the grease flow when later servicing through the backside grease fitting. The grease flows down the axle shaft and into the bearing cavity. The purpose of the seal is to keep the grease in the cavity and not leak out on the shoes.

Thanks for watching. Seals are good, but thanks for checking anyway! Wouldn’t want to get down the road and have that problem.

Did ya install the return springs on the back side? I was hopin' ta see that. Overall, I liked the video. Thanks for postin' it.

Yes, we did. Unfortunately it took both of us to do it, so we didn’t have anyone to hold the camera. Those things are tricky, but it can be done. We used a small hammer and a metal clothes hanger and were able to get it done. Just takes a little patience. Hope you’re able to get it figured out. Thanks for watching!

Really like your knowledge and insight but the music is loud and annoying so I think I’ll stick with Paul Shin
