My dad and mom had a 31 Buick , a big one. It was in Portland. They definitely had it in summer of 1942. Any chance thats the very one?

Where did you get the electronic ignition setup and what brand is it? I have a 1931 Buick also. Had some challenges setting up the dual points. What state are you in? Would love to hear your car run.
