Antique cars have antique features like carbide burners for accetlyne gas to run the lights (that went bye bye during the First World War when cars got electric systems. Antique cars are often described as being of “The brass era” , meaning before the widespread use of nickel plating (in turn replaced by chromium plating in the later classic era (roughly 1925 thru it’s end when streaming became the vogue in the late 1930’s. Not to worry...we have ignorant fools calling my 1941 Cadillac an “antique”.......came bone stock with factory “air”, automatic trans., radio, power windows. Hey...it’s the way our culture has evolved..who cares about word meanings? “😭
