Excellent! This is an absolute gem! I am so happy to hear the plan is to preserve the originality and do the necessary repairs and maintenance. This car simply oozes history that cannot be replicated by anyone anywhere. No level of talent, backed by any amount of money, could build what this car has. Well done, Mr. Foose, I salute you, along with the seller and those before him, that have kept the car as it has aged from new to now without modifications or molestation.
@ogisgarage97217 ай бұрын
"Leave it alone" THANK YOU!!! As much as restomoding is cool, preserving something in its original state is more valuable IMO. If that thing was already hacked/swapped/modded, than yes - but in such a beautiful state it should be kept as is.

Thank You Chip Foose for saving this original old ford. To many people would just Hot Rod it and another one would be lost. My dad had a nice original 39 Ford (i believe it was a 39) After he passed we had people that wanted to buy it and Hot Rod it. We wouldn't let that hapeen. Sold it to a local man that kept it like it was, when he passed it went to his son who will keep it the same way as well. Thanks for sharing this story with us.

I had two friends in high school who had restored Model A's. John had a 1929 tudor frame off fully restored. Don had a self restored 1930 Model A coupe. A bunch of us took a trip in the '29, cruising 35 mph all the way to Banff Canada for an antique car show. One time I rode with Don in his coupe to a car show in Seattle, which was 295 miles from Spokane. I didn't think we'd ever get there, but we made it there and back home with no problems. Don is still active with the Model A club at home. Good times.
