Genuine original old 32 Ford barnfind first run out after some engine tinkering!. Stored since the sixties in North Dakota. Does have a 1940 type replacement flathead in it, but that was a sensible improvement in the day... Also look at first road drive • 1932 Ford V8 flathead ...
Another video to watch is this, history of the 32 Ford.really good!! • Video

Back in 1932 a brandnew Cologne built Ford V8 driven by Konrad Adenauer (mayor of Cologne back than) was the first car that passed the first ever built section of german Autobahn between Cologne and Bonn @ 120 KP/H for more than an hour FULL THROTTLE without damage, when even German Luxury cars overheated or damaged the rod bearings :-))

It was a period engine swap, so it's fine. It's not a boomer-mobile. You can't get a 1932 Ford Flathead engine in every corner drugstore today, they are a little hard to come by.

@@74rockon I also hate seeing a nice classic like this ruined by somebody who decides to put a built 350 in it and thinks that's an improvement. For something like this, its going to take much more than a built modern V8 engine to enable you to go on a long inter-city cruise or road trip in a classic vehicle like this.

Took plugs out and cleaned, put a little oil into all of the bores, remove starter motor and turn on flywheel teeth a little at the time. Ran gravity fed petrol direct to carb. Cleaned points and distributer pickup connections. Checked engine oil level. You can usually get an idea visually as to if the motor is likely to run or not! Like no parts tampered with or missing, healthy looking spark plug color and engine oil etc etc. I had done all this the day before video.

It was found by a friend and trader in North Dakota along with a 46 Chevy pickup and another 32. He bought the lot which had al been saved in the 60's. I bought the pickup and this sedan. Sadly sold to another guy here in the UK now, but he is keeping it as it is.

Someone put a later model V8 in it, around 40s vintage; what was called a 59 A block. Lots of them were swapped out over the years. In 1932 the radiator hoses connected to the front of the cylinder heads. It's an easy way to tell if an old Ford had its engine changed. Still a neat old car. I'd leave it just as it.

But things didn't work out with first parents. Adopted at five. Second parents called them to have shorter version of explaining without that long word biological. Second Dad 63, his wife 59, when adopted me. So lived pretty much on farms with them. So I know of bobwire and etc... somewhat.

I remember back in "72" or so we drove from the east coast to Kansas City, Mo. and my dad had bought a "46" Chevrolet Pickup Truck! It had 46,000 original miles on it and the original tires. It was a 1 owner truck and the owner died and we bought it from the son. It ran great with very little rust. It had the starter button on the floor. My dad had new tires put on it and my brother and I drove it back to Delaware and my brother and father restored it. I wish he still had it!

A friend at work drives a beautiful light-blue 1967 Fairlane hardtop. The gas cap on that car is behind the license plate. If I were to ever get another old car, though, it would probably be a 1930s - 1940s Ford with flathead V-8. It would not be fast by modern standards, but that does not matter. It would be fast enough and would be blast to drive. But, ... a 1961 Thunderbird would be nice also. Have fun with your 1964 Fairlane!
