They are only getting more expensive and harder to find. Don’t wait too long. When I bought mine I admit to having a sick feeling in my stomach after spending that much. Now I’m kicking myself for not buying all 3 that he had. I paid $1700 and now they are $2700.

I look forward to checking the wheres george notes. I try to keep them in circulation by spending then in places that give out a lot of change. Fast food drive thru's or tipping people are ways to keep them in circulation. The $1000 is a very fun note to take on my bank runs. Thanks for watching!

Yup this thing needs more views. Great note and HIGHLY collectible currently. The high denominations are the MOST liquid and desired right now in the paper money market. I’m keeping my feelers out for one with COVID I’m hoping I may be able to snag one for cheaper. That quad leading zero with 8’s man that one hurts. Almost a double quad! Happy hunting!

The first time I brought out this note I wasn't showing the book with the values. I also had 200 less subscribers! LOL! That quad zero did sting a bit. I make an effort to not dwell on or save near misses. It wouldn't take long to build a stack of one-offs and eat my bankroll. Stay safe and good luck!!!

Stuplubak ya no doubt. Strictly I only save true fancies now. I am putting together a couple sets though to make it more fun strap searching as it’s not every hunt you find something. For instance I save my stars that are common if they fit into my district set and year series. Only one example for each. I only need the “I” district star to complete the set. I do however do a one for one swap of notes that are better condition. Anyhow happy hunting!

I hear ya on putting together sets. Just a habit from my baseball card collecting days. One of the first things I did when I started searching singles was get a binder and pages. I'm putting 1 of everything. Every series, every year, and every reserve as well as the FW when available. I don't usually show it because it can become kind of redundant. When I do my stars I also take my old notes and run through my binder looking to upgrade or fill holes. It's amazing the number of holes in the set I still have even after 100k singles!!!

Stuplubak ya no kidding! You can see the effects of lower printing and runs specifically when doing large sets as yours. Pretty crazy. I’ve noticed in my area B, K, and L stars are by far the most common. It’s interesting as I’m closer to C but don’t see them all that often.

I get flooded with G notes. I'm 60 miles north of there. I do get my fair share of I notes being up north. Right between Chicago and Milwaukee.

i always wanted a $1000 bank note. and now that i can afford to get one. everybody tells me to invest in gold and that the dollar bill is going down. i already invested in two 1oz gold eagles. but i still want that bill real bad. im just afraid the bill would become worth nothing but paper in the future after hearing whats going on with the economy today. what is a good investment these days? gold coins or that vintage bill? hope you can help me out on which is a better investment : ))

You can’t compare a $1000 note to the dollar. A $1000 note is a collectible with historical value. It has nothing to do with the value of what is in your pocket. Since I bought mine, it’s almost doubled in value with more collectors than ever wanting one. There are only so many of them. Not enough for everyone that wants one. People have been saying the dollar will collapse since 1914. It’s fine. Get the note. Good luck!

There are a few things to look for. Nothing else feels like real currency. Find a $1 in similar condition and compare the size and texture. The paper itself should also have red and blue fibers inbedded in it. The smallest details should also remain crisp and clear at any magnification. The green ink has also changed. You can compare the color of the seal to smaller denominations from 1934. Taking it to a dealer is a great idea, If it is in really nice shape, you can get it graded and authenticated through PMG.

Pretty cool, Stu! I remember the first time I ever heard of U.S. $1,000 notes was when I saw _Lethal Weapon 2_ (it was during the container ship scene).
