Awesome buy. I think it is supposed to be a Rat Rod, so lots of patina. I would fix the doors so they seal and gaps are good. Leave the rust and dents. Clear coat it to preserve it. And have fun with it. Definitely a small block Chevy.

Hi, Ivan and Mike! You continue to have one of the most interesting and diverse rebuild channels on KZbin, congrats! I believe what you have is a modified Ford Model A body (can’t tell the exact year as there’s been a lot done to it) but I would guess ‘29 or ‘30. It’s been chopped and put on a non-original frame, also “juice” brakes and regular shocks have been added. I believe the engine may be a Chevrolet small block (383)? The front axle and leaf springs are modified Model A. I bet it’d be a kick to drive with close to a couple hundred horsepower...the original Model A had 42 HP. Cleaned up, straightened up and with nice paint it should be worth at least twice what you paid for it, maybe more. Have fun! -Don

The engine and trans is worth what you paid, great deal. Fix it us as nice as you want! Who wouldn't want a running driving hot rod for $15 to 20K when your finished. Paint opposite color of cobra, you know like left and right, red on white vs white on red they kind of matching cars. Make it ride smooth, so you'll want to drive it, then share and enjoy!

Good buy guys. These hot rods go for about $12,000 to $15,000 finished the way it was. It's not a model T or A. Model A has a fuel filling on the cowl in front of the windshield. With the vent on the cowl it's most likely a 32 -34 Ford cab and radiator shell. Looks like a 32 frame as well. The engine has an oil filler in the intake that makes it early to mid 60s 283 or 327. Likely around 200 to 250 HP. Very nice truck. Cheers!

The water pump pulley is bent slightly I see. Start off by looking in Summit Racing and or Jeggs Racing, Locar hotrod parts.

Great buy and it should be easy to fix. I'd put it on the frame rack and check to see if the frame is bent. If that's an original 32 radiator shell don't toss it. It can be fixed and it has value.

Just found your channel. Basically you have a small block chevy, 283, 327 or a 350. That’s the basic engine size. Depending on the bore and stroke it could be as big as a 383. As far as naming it, I’d call it Resurrection Just my two cents worth.

Definetly a great deal, unique style. You guys should definetly upgrade the brakes to rotors, like we don't exactly know how much power this engine have, maybe this drum brakes are not going to handle. If you guys repaint it, a nice dark cherry red, kinda like wine red would be amazing. Check out some hot rods foruns for info on parts, maybe special custom shops for this type of car can give you guys some help on where to find parts.

It needs a lot of love. But you guys can handle it. The engine is a small block Chevy. I would do a Mustang 2 suspension in the front with disc brakes. Maybe change the engine and transmission to a small block Ford with a C6 trans. I believe the headlights are from a 1936 Ford. They are bigger than the other years. I would do the metal work and custom paint.
