The Grand Master was a badass. No visible bolt threads. No visible engine wires or hoses. All bolt heads faced the same direction. Even the oil filter was painted to match the engine. You could close the door with the tip of your finger.

That was from a short lived chip Foose diecast offerings. That car is the grandmaster. It won the Riddler award. There’s two versions, that one and a chrome one. The chrome is the chase.

The holographic foil is designed to be peeled away leaving the hologram behind... It needs to be applied on a tacky surface before it can be peeled leaving a flat surface 👍🏼👌🏼🤘🏼

The Nail Tape worked well. I'd leave the engine lighter, it gives a nice contrast to the body. Pretty rod.

I've seen this car, in real life, many times. It belongs to Wes Rydell in Grand Forks, North Dakota. Still one of the nicest cars I've seen. Won the 50th anniversary Riddler Award at Detroit Autorama. One of Foose's first major projects after going out on his own.

Is that a Jada model? I've had several, and found, in every case, that the plastic the windows are made from, discolours, and turns to a crumbly mess, if exposed to sunlight for too long. And? I live in England, where sunny days are an occasional treat. Great custom paintjob there. Awesome colour, too. That pinstriping looks like strips of LED lights, as the model rotates, and is caught by the light. Superb.

When I googled Chip Foose Grandmaster and the pictures of the actual car come up, the colour of the car above the in striping should have matched the dash that you took out. So, yes that was the colour of the dash. Your paint job is killer, love the purple on that car! Keep up the great videos. Blub blub!

Dude, poking fun at Chip just brought out a wave of nostalgia for those over the top car shows- Overhaulin', Pimp My Ride, American Chopper, etc. The looks are definitely dated and DEFINITELY over the top now, including the Foose stuff. The wheels are still legit though.

I'd leave it just the way you have it I would like to know what color the block color is the car its self reminds me of a friend of mine from Salinas Ca. old Dodge that purple was the only color he would paint it . He passed a few years back and his son redid it but painted it back to his dad's purple nice to see this brings back memories of a nice friendship.
