Condolences on losing your Grandpa. Staying hopeful for Big Stripes. Years ago I was watching my sister-in-laws menagerie and when I opened the door to enter and their cat, Ember, darted out the door and ran into the street right into the path of an oncoming Oldsmobile Vista Cruiser station wagon. (The one that had the rear raised roof……….google it.). That cat bounced up and down like a basketball underneath that car and then took off like a bat out of hell. Couldn’t find that cat and four days later when my SIL and her kids got home I had to tell them what had happened. Boohoo’s galore! “We can’t even bury her………boohoo 😢😢😢😢). Took a lot of grief about that………………………………………….cat showed up a week later. Best wishes.

Saddened to learn about the loss of Grandpa and Big Stripes. I never knew a Grandpa, they were both gone long before I was born. The bond someone can have with a cat can be amazing hopefully she will show up somehow.

Leave a cat trap loaded where she did a runner with some of your clothing for a scent , some food and this will work .

Aaron, you have Dawn and my sincerest sympathy for your loss. Be thankful for the good times you spent with your grandfather, I'm sure he's thankful for all the good times you shared with him. In our modern world many grandparents have never met their grandchildren. Hopefully Big Stripes has gone into hiding in some little nook or cranny on your farm while she recovers from her stressful situation. It showes in your video, she knows and loves her family.

I hope you find big stripes 🤞🏻 We have a little wild black cat who has adopted us and lives around the yard. He's part of the fixtures and fittings. Me and my dad, only said the other week when we watched the start up of the D4 and spotted your Grandpa. How lucky you were to still have him around. We lost mom last year and all my grandparents have passed on. At least he got to see the old D4 run again. Best wishes From Me and Pop

My condolences, Aaron. Passing of generations...No picnic. I'm not near Ft. Lupton but I am in the opposite corner of the state---Think "old train, narrow gauge". Thank you for the kind words. Unfortunately they don't offer the track gauge tool anymore. I was lucky enough to find this one on eBay. It took several years of searching. I think the California chapter of the Antique Caterpillar Machinery Owners Club (ACMOC) may sell a reproduction gauge. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out. 👍

As crazy as this may sound…Leave her litter box outside as their urine has a scent they can detect and will help her find a way back home, my boy took off for a couple weeks when I moved to a new house with a big open forest in my back yard and it worked for me. Other then that I pray she comes back soon I know how much it stressed and hurt me when he took off as I thought he was a goner for sure being in coyote territory
