I had a King 2b liberty when i was a teenager learning the trombone! Never realised how privileged I was! But I did have a real professionaol jazz trombonist as a teacher and learned Sentimental Over You after about a year. Won a prize at school for that, too! MEMORIES.

Holly crap, that was an amazing solo on one of the best trombones ever made hand down. Sweet video, that trombone works great for you.

Sounds great! I have 2 King 2b's. One is a 1947 Silvertone with engraving on the bell like they used to do at the factory years ago. The other is a 1951 yellow brass bell "garden variety" (or vanilla) horn. Nothing special about it other than it's an antique that came out right after WW II and, I've been told, is of better quality than the new ones today! I was lucky to have both of them out of my house when it burned down last month! Thank God b/c I just could not replace those horns. Keep on playing, man. You sound grrrreat!

How do you compare this horn to a 2b? The blow and everything.

doesn't the narrow rim of the 7C feel uncomfortable, especially compared to the 11C?
@1barracuda217 жыл бұрын
7C is an enlarged 11C leaving u with a narrow rim. Bob McChesney plays a 7C cup with a 11C rim

How do you get such a great tone? Is it the horn? Mouthpiece? Combination? Would you recommend this trombone? I'm looking for one right now
@jasoncostello15356 жыл бұрын
What gewpes said, good tone isnt something that happens overnight, you gotta work for it
@posaunist55 жыл бұрын
@gewpew Easy said, but i really know a lot of trombone players that did practice a lot and didn't end up that good. Amount of practice equals quality . that would be nice
