1937 Pierce Arrow Travelodge - as found - preparing to rescue

Pierce arrow was an automobile manufacturer that created roughly 450 high quality travel trailers from 1937-38 as a last-ditch effort to save the company. Overbuilt and overpriced for the market, their plan failed. Only 50 or so examples still exist.

My Grandfather had one of those in Florida at the Camper's Holiday Park, in Brooksville FL. When he died 30 years ago my mother inherited it. She gave it to a local chicken farmer. The chicken farmer came over to the park and blew up the over 50 year old tires and hooked it to his truck and drove off with it. I sure hope all those chicken are nice a cozy in it. My mom replaced it with a doublewide and sold the doublewide to a Canadian couple and mom bought a house on the beach.

Hey Ben.... it's now December 12th just saw KZbinr unique classic cars feature a 1937 Pierce Arrow Travelodge that they are asking for 69000😮
