Cadillac has always made great cars, that's for sure. Thanks for taking a look at this one.

It is like a rolling piece of history. I like the Art Deco design of that time period...beautiful cars.

It is a really well-built car..so solid. It would be cool to see a customized version.

Honestly, with the long hood on this one, I expected to see a V12 or V16 under the hood instead of a V8, It really is a beauty though. Thanks for taking a look!

Love this Caddy and if I had a lot of money or its twin somewhere. I am touched by the condition. The headliner and seats are in great condition. I currently drive a 1999 Cadillac Sedan de Ville d' Elegence. I have about 75,000 miles on it. It has been somewhat expensive to maintain such as needing a $5,000 transmission. Still I keep it up and it is a beautiful and comfortable car.

This is not a limousine. It's appears to be a 1939 Cadillac Fleetwood Series 75 5-passenger Touring Sedan (w/o jump seats or divider window). Original Base Price $2,995.00 No. Produced 543

Beautiful looking Cadillac. I remember seeing one like this here in Tacoma, Washington, on display at the LeMay ACM Museum. It was either a 39 or a 40, I can't remember. But it had the same front end styling. What's with the aftermarket gauge underneath the dash, to the left of the steering column? :)
@JimBales12 жыл бұрын
Notice the rudimentary tail fins on this. The start of something big. I used to own a '40 Buick with the side mount tires back in the 60's. I paid $450 for it at the time. Sold it in the 70's for $1000. Now it would be worth tens of thousands I suppose.

So Cadillac were rather slow (2 or 3 years behind the times) in fully fairing in their headlights... I wonder why this was.
@MimicoBungalow2 жыл бұрын
....why would they add a water temperature gauge on a chrome surround under the dash when they could've tried to integrate it a little better. It totally ruins the look of the dashboard?
@whammond51111 жыл бұрын
Didn't need power steering because the gearbox was such that they were pretty easy to turn except when at a standing stop. You always put the vehicle in motion when making a turn. Those large tires and wheels helped with turning as well. This would have had 4 wheel drum hydraulic brakes. A rather recent innovation but no match for today's systems. You had to allow extra stopping distance, took more skill on the driver's part.

It's not a limousine it's an 8 passenger sedan I think if you check your serial numbers it'll say 23 x on it if it was a limousine it will be an imperial on the sea and it would say 33 x
@RobandMerrie12 жыл бұрын
Love the caddy, but would hate to drive it, no power steering & probably no power brakes in fact I'd go to bet it's drum brakes all around.... And that hood must look like it's a mile long from sitting in the seat... LOL . Merrie-Merrie
