Rose is a living library, an audible history book and one of life’s Absolute Treasures, when you’re lucky enough to meet them. I’ve met two such ladies in my life. I learned a lot about Howard Hughes and about the Old Western Texas Days! I felt privileged to have met them and appreciate the direct connection with History. Bless them ALL!!!

As a life-long Michigan resident, this segment is a real treasure in the way Cranbrook has been a local treasure for so many years. The art museum rocks, as does the landscaping and house. A favorite place to visit occasionally.

Certainly a very touching backstory but Rose is a true treat! I believe this is the most obvious reason The Antiques Roadshow remains so popular. They not only share expertise and the value of items they also often include tidbits about the owners and their relationships with items. I recall watching the show in 1980 - I was 30. It remains as enjoyable today as then.
