Hey guys I thought I would share with you some of my superman toys and a short toy display teases . My 1939 Ideal Superman figure is one of my favorite toys I have in my collection and I hope you enjoy it and let me know what you think of it. I also just started putting toys on eBay some of them have been used on here so if you get time check it out maybe something will come up you may want.

Being mostly a DC and Marvel collector, I loved the cabinet items. I remember a lot of those 70's and 80's toys and items. Yes, I had the bubblebaths of Supes and Bats. And the hairbushes, my grandmother sold Avon and got them from there. Now, that origianal Superman woooden figure, I have seen like 4 others, and the one you had in the box is definetly the most pristine one I have ever seen. Excellent shape. I know you are proud of showing that off. Thank you for the glimpse of your collection. Very impressive.

Holy tihs! I had the same baseball and racer (grey handheld) game as a kid! I use to take the racer game with me to school and play it during recess and other down times. You get epic kudos for having those in your collection.

You're welcome Bella. I became a Superman fan when I seen Christopher Reeve as the Man of Steel in the first movie. I was 9. I liked just about every iteration except for Henry Cavill's version of Superman. Just wasn't for me.

Wow, that's a great collection. I still have my old Mattel electronic baseball game (still works), your's are much cleaner. When i a kid i had the Shrunken Head- apple carving kit, ha' ha' it's too cool, and i also had that Corgi - Batmobile ( a neighbor kid stole it, dammit' ) i'm still not over it. I would love to have that 60's Aurora- Batmobile model kit ,that is killer. I think i could look at your toy chest all day, it's fascinating , thank you ,Bella. Bob.G

That cabinet is soooo full! I saw that Superman doll in an episode of Toyhunter on youtube. But I don't think it had the box. That is worth a lot and will be a fortune eventually. Good Buy! I've seen the 1939 Superman doll before (not in person, but a photo). Alex Ross, the artist, has one of these. I think he got his in a flea market or antique shop in the Chicago area. His didn't have the cape but he may have made a new one. The fabric from things like this usually doesn't survive. The paint on the one in this video is surprisingly decent given the doll is 80 years vintage if it's not a re-issue from the 1940s. The insignia gives it away as being older Superman design since it's a triangle shape and not a 5-sided shield. In his earlier appearances, Superman had a triangular shield sometimes with the top two points rounded in. They really didn't finalize the design of the outfit until 1942/1945 and even then they played with the color of the S-shield on the cape (which was added later; in the earlier years the cape had no "S" on it). They alternated between all yellow for the cape's "S" and also a (red "S" and red-bordered) duplicate of the S on the chest. My only quibble about this doll is that the shield looks like a sticker and it's a virtual guarantee a sticker would not survive like that without creases and rubbing over the decades. This is a new sticker for the chest insignia? Kids back then didn't value toys like today and "leave them in the box" for collectible value. I guess there's a first to seeing this!

Presentation is so important if you wanna enjoy your collection. You could have been in a vintage toy shop in NYC and I wouldn’t have known the difference.🙂

My favorite toy growing up was the 1974 Mego 8 inch Superman, which I still have. I think my favorite Superman collectable that I have is the Neca 1/4 scale Christopher Reeve Superman. Thanks for the neat video.

I have a vintage 1939 ideal Superman like this and value on these should be up there with the comic book from that era especially by it being the first action figure and whoever the toy experts are need to realistically changed the value in top 25 toy list from $25,000 to more according to it rarity
