That is just the craziest, funniest, most outrageously and joyfully destructive movie I ever saw and one of my all time favorites from Spielberg ! This is just a completely nuts movie, it is so over the top but so hilarious and so naively cheerful ! One of the best feel good movies ever and just listen to that music, you just can't help smiling !

There is NO way that this movie was his worst. This is one of my FAVORITES... It is so full of racist remarks and slapstick comedy that I still watch it for kicks... The fighting between the military branches, the jitterbug contest, the whole paranoia in the movie oh and lets NOT forget the ninja team of Japanese that went ashore ONLY IN THE DIRECTOR'S CUT dressed as christmas trees and the one had a cigarette! LMAO.You gotta see the director's cut though, not the other version.

Excellent video! Thanks! I was always bummed that 1941 flopped, I just love it! All kinds of silliness, great special effects (No CGI), fantastic music, a great dance number, and for out and out goofy mayhem and panic and destruction I can't think of many films that come close. The Blues Brothers perhaps. I see someone down below has the Baby Wolf comment. : D -Many great lines. "That --- is the craziest son of a bitch I've ever seen." Spielberg has a U-Boat. He used it in "Raiders Of The Lost Ark" He also scoured all over Europe looking for authentic German Panzer for his, "Saving Private Ryan" The "Tiger Tanks"? Russian T-34's dressed up to look like tigers. He got one from Romania that was used in the movie "Kelly's Heroes".

I hate serious, preachy, fake, cliche ridden WWII movies. That's why I love this movie! Problem with this film it came after the antiwar films like Kelly's heroes and before the syrupy nostalgia pieces like Saving Private Ryan. It's found a new audience in the under 30 year olds who appreciate the absurd parody of virtually every WWII hackneyed movie line. Of course I loved Inglourious Basterds and detested Band of Brothers,
