Gerry's shows are genius. Over 50 years after shows like Stingray, Thunderbirds and Captain Scarlet hit the screens for the first time, they're still winning new audiences and new generations to this day. Case in point, my dad was 8 years old when Thunderbirds was first broadcast in 1965, 27 years later, he took me (when I was 3 years old) to my local cinema to watch a reshowing of Thunderbirds Are Go and although I don't have children of my own yet, my Godson, who was a similar age to me when I was introduced to it, was enthralled with Trapped in the Sky (the first episode of Thunderbirds) and has probably got gripped with the world Gerry and Sylvia Anderson created all those years ago

Thunderbirds were fabulous and the music always made the hairs on my arm stand up, truly iconic TV series, thanks for the wonderful memories, I'm 62 now and still watch the original Thunderbirds, brings a tear to these old cynical eyes.

Feels interesting. I didn't grow up with Anderson anything, just a few things here and there. I got into this from a friend who is all about this. The energy from the performance, the energy of the audience, and from the comments is something else. I feel exited even while being new to this whole saga.

I would prefer to see the orchestra the whole time. Not mixed with inserts from the TV shows. Is the blu-ray the same as this or do we get to see the orchestra the whole time?

This is the finale so is used as a showcase for all the Anderson shows. You see the orchestra much more during the rest of the concert.

Designed to replicate the experience for people who werent there on the night, most of the show is shots of the orchestra :)

It’s almost like it doesn’t matter what you would prefer because the orchestra played alongside inserts from the TV shows that night, meaning that this is supposed to recreate the live presentation, and considering that this is the finale, it only makes sense to end the concert with a rundown of the Gerry Anderson legacy.
