Excellent job on the restoration. Runs smoother than a Swiss watch.

Quite probably just some blue paint! Both my JP1 and JP4 run n like this in their patinated as recovered condition. Perpetual motion!

This sounds just as good to me, in a completely different way, of course, than the Merlins or Top Fuel dragster V-8s! To a 'gear head', it's all good. Thanks for sharing! DD

There is one of these up in a Hmong village not far from me in Chiang Mai, Thailand. In pretty good shape too, under a covered shed

Hi, friend. I want to congratulate you on that incredible restoration. I bought a 1933 JP3 yesterday. It looks terrible. I love vintage movers like you. Can you help me with information to be able to leave it as similar to the original. I'm getting older. I know it is a very difficult challenge but I want to try it. Thank you so much !!

Hi Domingo. This engine was in good mechanical condition, even though it looked rough before the restoration. we had the injection system overhauled, but that is all. It now runs in a narrow boat. We did manage to buy a reprint of the operation manual online.
