This is excellent, thank you Eric. Wow, I watched the whole video and realized your 1947 MEC shown at the 6:40 mark is the exact same amplifier I have. I'm gonna go fire that amp up as soon as your video finishes! Yeah, if you have a video of the '47 MEC I'm going to check it out!

This is excellent, thank you Eric. Gosh, if my 1947 MEC amplifier's chassis didn't rattle so much I'd consider sending it to you for a review/demo! After watching your video you inspired me to fire her up and play for a bit.

For a post World War Two made amp that thing sounds awesome on just it’s “naked tone” like you said. I bet it would sound great with a lap steel or pedal steel.

Wouldn’t it be more that 4 Watts with a 6L6 in it ?

Sounds fantastic. Is that the original speaker from 47’?

@@Guitarsenal , probably not original. That giant alnico-magnet speaker would be an unlikely choice by the manufacturer for use in a 4 watt amp, and it looks more like early to mid 50's vintage. It does appear to have a date code on the magnet but I couldn't make out the numbers. Tell me what they are and maybe we can figure out the brand (I've got a full list of manufacturers codes) and when it was made. Ps, I own a very similar Dickerson.
