No disrespect to anyone else who has been on this series, but Jonathan Stout playing an archtop guitar is undefeated. God bless him, takes the time and effort to really learn a style that is so underrepresented and so unappreciated in the guitar world.

Yes, Stout is the goto authority on pre-war guitar and the American jazz of that time.

What Jonathan plays is the "shred" from back in the day, and he does it as well as anybody ever has! Paired with Jack is an act I would definitely pay to see!

Another great episode of "guitar of the day"... Johnathan plays the guitar as if he is spreading butter on a slice of bread... effortlessly! Jack's always fun. Kudos.

Have always loved Jonathan’s playing and the rhythm man is killing it as well. Sweet.

Jonathon and JRS have great sonic duality. I can’t help but think of my deceased grandmother, we used to listen to pleasant music, and Les Paul, like this up north in Minnesota. I love, love, love the sound of these archtops!

Once again, Jonathan has a sweet style of melodic playing which owes a debt to all of Charlie Christian, Django Reinhardt and Les Paul. He could make a shoe box sing, let alone one of these classic Gibson boxes.

Let the good times roll. Just bought my first motor car Ford Deluxe, just bought my first Coke and hamburger, just watched a Carey Grant and Shirley Temple movie "The Bachelor and the Bobby-Soxer" about to catch a plane out of Idle-wide airport to get to LA to watch the Stout and Jack show.
