Wax on Wax off, For those of Us who remember. First time I ever heard vent windows referred to as Smokers windows but that name certainly fits. Keep them going.

Well I remember back in 55 when I lived in this small town in California and some idiot drove his black convertible into a manure truck and filled his interior with shit

Back in the day, my day I guess, they were vent windows to circulate air. Some cars had then in the back as well. Prior to air conditioning they were a blessing. And yes, we learned they would vent cigarette smoke out of the car and draw in rain as well. By the by, you still have to "crack" a window to pull smoke out of a car these days. AC just doesn't pull out smoke as fast as a slightly open window. Hardly a car came without ashtrays back then, and now they hardly come with an ashtray.

Is a flathead the same as a side valve?
@toddknox685 Жыл бұрын
The flathead engine had both exhaust and intake valves on the sides of the pistons placed in the intake valley working off the camshaft running down the center of the valley. This is called an L Head design. And yes, it is also known as a side valve engine or valve-in-block engine with its poppet valves contained within the engine block, instead of in the cylinder head, as in an overhead valve engine.

Nice. But that is not a coupe, it's a sedan. Nope, being a 2-door doesn't mean it's a coupe . . . different body style.
