Loved what you said about mules or horses about the feed that is just needed to keep them on a farm .The cubs and A's and the other brands helped 🇺🇸 grow.p.s.someone stated that there cub will most likely out last him how very true .🏆🤔

Thank You for watching. My Cubs will outlast me. I was worried about the older one burning oil, but they said don’t worry about it as long as it runs good

I failed to mention Tom but I’m almost certain the piece I was needing for my Cub fast hitch was setting on my “parts” Cub and just waiting for me to realize it! That tractor had to be “left out”, but in putting a quality boat cover on it I needed to pad the manual lift arm = hey that will work to adjust the pitch of the fast hitch. A duh moment, but I had my head wrapped around the newer style and just overlooked it. Man that “parts Cub” has a lot of great stuff on it. Just excited, some clean up required but the rest of the hitch needs it as well. All good.

It’s good to know you don’t regard a little smoke as a “show stopper”. A couple of my very early 50s do, but both were rebuilt some decades ago. No worries. Thanks Tom. I’ve relocated with the snow birds. Of course NOW that I’m out of the area tractors are available and 😢cheap. Well, to me they are cheap.

It still has plenty of power and it runs well. As a bonus, it keeps away the mosquitoes ☺️

During the late 1940s into the 1950s, practically every farmer in My Grandfather's community including him, bought a Cub. Most of the farmers were small tobacco farmers with 4-8 acre crops on average and the Cub was tailor made for their needs. No offense to the John Deere L or Allis Chalmers G, but the Cub looks like a fashion model beside them.

The Deere and Allis were ugly ducklings indeed. Dad bought hisCub in 1947

I agree Mark on the looks. Like a baby bird imprinting, a Cub is what a tractor is supposed to look like. I do like the looks of all those “red bellies” as well. Just not as good to garden with. JMO.

@@MarkWYoung-ky4uc Yes, it was a wise decision. Later on some mistakes were made! It’s only been a few years for me that I got Farmall Fever! I blame Joey at JTWES, Lol. My first experience operating a tractor was on a neighbor’s Cub in the mid 50’s, so some imprinting must have occurred. Stay well Mark.
