I have the Raddy RF919 to enable display on all the time while it’s on depress time/set for big screen and alarm for the small screen. 73! Have a great day!

Same here. It looks neat. The feature list looks great on paper. Problems seem to happen when you try to use it as a radio. Simple mistakes not addressed. Mis set AGC etc. Typical poor QC at a small Chinese company. Think I'll pass. That osc issue won't be fixed in software.

Had the exact radio but a TR-113 nightmare. After having about a week the CB Band was a complete failure. What happened was, it started receiving a certain frequency across all the frequencies. this was after it would no longer pick up a transmission from a transmitter and was dead, I could not put up with this junk at $250.00.. I saw somebody say that, this radio is not ready to be sold, they are correct! Yep sent it back. Oh and mine had the battery pack which had very poor battery life.

This is yet another re-badged HanRongDa C-919.
@Homer195214 ай бұрын
Same as the Raddy RF919. A lot of re-badging going on.

Interesting that they're using a RISC-V microprocessor in there -- a "recent" design. It's a view into how that CPU architecture is getting design wins more and more in the China market specifically. I would imagine not having to pay royalties to ARM to license the CPU architecture helps out for the lower-margin consumer products. Wonder if there's poor voltage regulation at work there when you're pressing the buttons?
Probably the best thing to do is send that thing to me. I'll give it a good home....,LOL Thanks for the video..

i have the raddy and that warbling is not there...squelch bad on uhf too. 135 miles on fm band with whip ant indoors (near window).

That is a bizarre sound. Does the selectable matching network help with reception or nulling the distortion? Or when swapping antennae or is it just a gimmicky thing? Is the port for the ext antenna a 3.5mm headphone style receptacle or some flavor micro coaxial connector? Holy hell, it’s almost $300. A person could pickup a HackRf with Portapack for less than thing. It’s cool looking with a bunch of functionality to explore but I’m not seeing $300 worth. Ouch!

Which multi band radio for serious enthusiasts--the C919 or the Malahit DSP2?
@JanosBarabas7 күн бұрын
Certainly the Malahit DSP2! I own both ( the Raddy RF-919 variant actually), and the Malahit wins hands down with 60x(!) higher sensitivity and his incredible DSP functions and touch screen spectrum display.

It is not like ATS-20 ( Si4732) radio, this one is a different "beast", after a search on the webs, i had find out that it has no variable capacitor on the tuning side, just a one chip radio plus lights and blink-blinks :) easy to read with no glasses :)

... does it make you coffee and iron your shirts too ? Wonder how it would go with one of those 30db wideband LNAs that goes from 1-1GHz 🙂
