Thank you Karen for thinking about us Aussies in this horrific time. Your give away is just a fantastic idea. I live between 2 National Parks in Heathcote Sydney and we have our fingers crossed it does go up in flames as it has in the past. Donations should go directly to our RFS Rural Fire Service or the Salvation Army. We have so many shonky people raising money and none of it goes to people who need it. Unfortunately .

This is just an amazing piece of art Karen. I would love to have that on my wall .It is spectacular! Well done on getting everything to work and for the final finishing off of this piece. It’s possibly the biggest( longest ) piece that l have seen! Give yourself a well deserved pat on the back or an extra glass of your favourite wine😉🥰😀 Must mention that your girl deserves to be praised for being so sensible when it comes to having to wear the eye mask. Wow Karen..the first painting you showed us looks like a landscape painting when you initially held it narrow side up. It looks like sand and rock...the blue and white running zig zag down through the center...reminds me of water. Love it!

That is a nice gesture for the wildlife here in Australia. A lot of burnt koalas wombats kangaroos possums. Many went searching for injured animals.

Wow Karen, This is just gorgeous! Love Love Love it! I didn't know you could use gloss deep base for the colors, I was under the impression it needed to be semi-gloss. The color choices are so beautiful together too.. The dried result was so shiny already, but I agree, I would resin that bad boy too! Woop woop! Prayers for Chloe and her upcoming procedures. I know it's hard when your going through it but in the end you are a great Mom and she is in good hands.

Reminds me of the gorges (canyons) of Karajini in Western Australia. The orange walls and blue/green waterways that wind through them with vegetation interspersed. Try looking up Karijini Images :)

I love this Karen looks amazing but I have to thank you for your kindness I am from Australia caught up in the fires they came so close to me and a team of firies from qld arrived to join our guys and they managed to put the fire our and saved our homes the firies have been just so amazing they are true heroes, we are still suffering from heavy smoke can't really go outside too much, but a little rain today is helping we really need more but things have eased a bit the generosity of people all over the world has touched our hearts. we will get through this we are Aussies and made of tuff stuff, watching your video tonight cercainly took my mind off things I'm going to have a go at this one or similar though I havn't had a whole lot of luck with this technique have nailed lots of others but this one eludes me.

Of course you blew out the corners lol. Gorgeous and definitely resin this. I’ve resigned a few 12x36 canvases and they hold up well but cardboard in the back will stop it pulling away while setting up. might try taping the sides and just resining the top with a dome...looks quite cool.

Karen what a brilliant idea! I just saw this video so I know it’s too late for the contest but I’m still going to donate to a wildlife fund in Australia. I have been brought to tears about the fires and devastation there. I hope this will motivate others to do what they can to help. Sorry I got carried away.
