Occasionally, I like to show this video after informing someone '50 is my birth year. They are invariably Impressed that cars this great were being made back then....

Buick always has had a big massive grille. They outdo all the other divisions including Cadillac with front grilles.

That body shape still points to the fantastic future! It's a timeless perfection, and I want this car.

My earliest memory as a child, this was our family car. I'm 71 now.

My dad had one of these cars a 1950 Buick Dynaflow 'fastback' straight eight he brought used in 1951 and we owned it until 1962. In '62 I was ten years old, I learned how to drive this car at eight years old, no I wasn't sitting on my dad's lap; very hard looking over that steering wheel and long hood but I managed.

Glad I own one myself. Not as perfect as this one. Mine is olympic blue. My favorite 'leadsled'.

Fue el primer auto que tuvieron mis padres en 1960. En él. Mi madre nos llevaba a mi y a mis hermanas por la ciudad. Un gran auto. Éste video me trae bellos recuerdos. Gracias

A wonderful stylish car! Not a box made of beer cans and plastic like now. If in 1950 you said cars would be made out of materials they are today you would have heard laughter all the way to the looney bin!

I came here after watching the 2023 buick regal and I got a realization that new models look made by machines and sterile and cheap compared to the handmade look of the interior of the old buicks. You can install new technology with your own hands on these and make them very impressive to drive and it keeps their personality instead of buying a new one to make society happy, a keep up with the jones thing.

I would never install “new technology” into this car. It is what it was meant to be, and alterations detract from its value. It’s not a daily driver anyway, so it doesn’t need 21st century improvements.

P.S. I was told once why some Buick's had three port holes and others like my Dad's had four, but I can't seem to remember now it had something to do with the trim levels. I'm guessing, am I right?

That grille is gorgeous. Stylish as well as intimidating. That thing in the rear view mirror says, “Get outta my way!”

@@sd31263 Haha! Unless it’s an Olds. I had a 49 Roadmaster as my first car. It was great but couldn’t outrun the Olds or Caddy with their V8 & hydramatic. Those were the days my friend. We thought they’d never end 😢
