WRECKED! My 1950 Buick Special Got Nailed! The Accident and Aftermath

Sad news today. My 1950 Buick "Slave I" got nailed in the back while I was driving to go get the car's wheels aligned. I'll explain what happened and what the next steps will be to get this car back on the road. I have really enjoyed your videos on Slave 1 and your progress. Interior theme was really outstanding how you copied the colors of the helmet and went perfect with the exterior. As to the accident, you're living my worst fears, I have a '50 4 door that I love to drive, but am constantly worried someone will rear end me. Keep us up to date, I'm wishing you the best of luck on repairing your car. However it turns out, it will ultimately be another visually indicator of the history of the car.

Hey Herbert, thanks so much for your kind words on it. It is a bit of a nightmare working with insurance companies to try to get them to understand the unique value of these types of vehicles. I've had the issue previously when the insurance guy couldn't wrap his head around the difference between an Impala SS and a caprice! Live and learn I guess. Have no fear, Slave 1 will return dents and all!

I've got the same bad drivers problem.....if they're not text driving they're right up on my rear.... weather on my 27 roadster or my Harley.....bad drivers are everywhere.

I've seen one pdr guy here on tube that did miracles with his process. I wonder if he can do PDR on this?

Yeah there is a good guy in my area he tried to do it to my buddies caddy but said the metal was too thick.. used to the modern tin cans... A lot of the paint is ruined there kind of flaked off so really just dent removal not so much paintless

I would snap if someone does anything to my fleetline. People piss me off. All the damage to the three cars I have on the road are done by other people. But the way I’m going to see it is they wasted my time. I like my time I have hours trying to loosen screws without causing damage. I had a guy come in my yard and open my door and slam it with out the rubber stops. if legal I would of beat his @$$. Was telling him off hoping he would try something. It’s just a roller but don’t touch the thing I looked for years for. My car won’t see rain when done. We get three months of good weather I want to enjoy it along with my car. My charger was on the street where it’s parked. I see the car in front of it is very close I check it out no damage. But I know your to dame close between the two cars. I come back from a call. I see them start the car infront of it. I put my tool bag down and watched. Backed right into it like it was not even there. I run over take a pic of the plate cause other have drove off after thousands of dollars in damage. Then yelled at her it for sale. $6000 you buying it. I’ll give you my information. Her friends come out to help her pissing me off more. There’s no damage. Did you hit my fing car or not “ ya” then shut the f up. I’ll give you my information. I don’t give a fing sh!t about your information. Don’t hit my fing car. Then went back and watched them back out. This time her friends actually guided her no to hit other people cars. Do road side and I’ve been rear ended by three customers that I have pulled out of the ditch or back lanes. They are customers so I have to keep my cool. But I hit all of their licences now. The last one was $3000 in damages. People need to learn to drive and respect other people stuff.
