Boy that’s a neat old truck. Boy they didn’t have much for comfort in those old trucks. That’s neat he got it working with the Cummins gotta go with what’s available tho. He’ll be able to get parts for that easier at least. Hope the boy can drive it to school when the time comes.

Totally awesome ! Never paid attention how the cab was configured until he explained it ! & it was so simple ! I liked being schooled on these pioneers of trucking ! & that would look so cool with a lowboy trailer hauling his I-H Farmall behind it ! I really like the way the air line hoses hook up to the back of the cab ! & while it's neat it would be awesome to find a 53 or 54 5 window cab to put on it ! & the engine upgrade is really nice as well . Old Jim has my imagination running wild , & old school is cool again! Thanks for another great video , & content .

Very awesome classic iron. I'm kind of wondering though why it would have a Cummins engine. A GMC without a Detroit seems kind of out of place, especially the earlier ones.

O-H-I-O Porter greetings.🇺🇸 I like the story behind the truck & the fact that it had an Ohio title still. Those old GMCs were quite cool.🥰 My dad had one like it & also had some interesting stories behind it as well…the trailer crashed going into NY tunnel, etc. Hey, I don’t care what engine it has in it…If it runs & rolls down the road then he can enjoy it some more. Better than sitting in the weeds & rusting away! Amen!!! Love the wheels! Very unusual! The fuel tanks were odd as well. I’ve never seen the saddle tanks that split like that. And he plans on reusing them? Wow! And his grandson wants to drive it as well? OooooWeeee! Did you enjoy riding in that thing or what! I love riding in the old trucks. Talking about a piece of history! Was it originally a 6 volt truck? Just wondering. My REO is still 6volt…for now. Good stuff!🥰🤩✌️

You didn't have to go far to look at that one. Some sort of shortish period flatbed trailer would look good behind it, but where would you drop on a good condition 1950s tarp?

So….how long til we hear of Joyride being peddled to bring this to live at the Trucker’s Lounge?😂(just teasing ya) Cool old Jimmy…..yes, the purists will cringe but that 5.9 B-series Cummins makes it a lot more livable! Very heartening to hear that his grandson has taken such a liking to it…
