Nothing says BBQ more than sausage. Adverts for meaty movie snacks from around the 1950s.

I worked at a Drive-in after school and on weekends in the early 1960's. To this day I have never had a better Hamburger.

Technically, these were not burgers. You could argue they were Sloppy Joes, but it looks to me like they were a pulled meat type of sandwich. They certainly do look like they would be delicious, though.

What interesting that at least pre 2020, more movie theaters started to offer a full meal with a movie. There was one near me that had less chairs but it was super nice. They had steak and everything. I think those at least will survive since its much easier to separate people for social distance reasons plus its more fun then being stuck in a crammed movie theater with 50+ people

Those kids gotta be in their late 70’s-80’s now… if they’re still alive lol.

It was assumed that most boys would be named after their fathers, and in some cases, are. Hence, "Junior". If you were a father, and your name was Harold, you would probably name your son "Harold, Jr." or "Harold II". The "Sis" thing for the girl assumed that no family was complete without both a boy and a girl.

A particularly silly commercial, IMO.

I wonder why 1950's commercials all sound so awkward. It's like a 15 year old kid reading Shakespeare in class for the first time.
