I finally got the Revell 1951 Henry J Gasser completed. I knew it was a poor fitting kit going into it and it proved itself to be. Had fun with the build but the fitment issues were many.

That's why I always scan my decals before applying them, just in case I make a mistake, which is more often than I'd like. Great looking build!

I got the front end to fit better by bending the radiator support. The doors fit ok but sag when open and is a little fiddley to get back. The newer Revell kits go together better . I noticed I had to soak decals for a long time and had no problem. I bent the front window and there was plenty of window material for the vent windows. Looks good nice build.

I built this kit in the 60s and 70s several time, when it cost $2.25 at the drug store. Probably bought it at least once just to get parts out of it. I seem to recall what they decided were wheelie bars were leaf springs with no wheels.
@olezippi2 жыл бұрын
Yup, I didn't care for their so called "Wheelie Bars" so I used so a nice set.
