I like your rattle can paint job. On cars I work on, I always say the paint job is for “the next guy” as paint and body work is expensive. You made the car look better, and with the car you started with. 99.9 % of guys wouldn’t have attempted to fix it up. You are encouraging me to find the right car, and do the same thing you are doing. Keep it up, and make the car as you want it.

I seen a guy spray water and spray paint to get a good patena. You could apply water then copper spray and blast it back with a air nozzle. And see what sticks. Sculp some flames. I liked the rust Finnish..you could sand flame shape back to the rust. But looks good. Happy new year. Thanks for video... Adios

Sorry about that---Boiled linseed oil wiped on will protect it for a few months especially since it is stored outside🤘 Plus, the price is right. Flood has a different application and it's not cheap.

I thought about clearing it but I've got new rockers and door bottoms I want to install eventually so I thought hell may as well put some primer on it and drive it around like that for a couple months until weather gets better and I can do what I really want to do with it

Im really glad you didnt low rider it. I know I'm a minority of one against 8 billion, but I just cannot stand ground scrapers and ass draggers. I had a '59 Chevy, and all I ever heard every day of my life the whole time I had it was "Slam it! Slam it! Slam it!" I said "NO! DAMMIT I WILL NOT SLAM IT!" I do not like green eggs and ham, my 59 Chevy I will not slam! ......The ride height stayed absolutely stock the entire time I had it. Minority of one against 8 billion.

These days, I like 'em stock, or really close, nothing that couldn't be changed back easily." Invisible upgrades that don't show are the coolest ones. My current favorite look is the "regular guy's daily driver" or the early NASCAR/50s-60s moonshiner. Real plain, almost invisible. Stock at first glance, maybe black steel rims and dog dish caps with a hint of a cam and maybe glass packs. Clean and straight.

I liked it before but the rusty finish would have been ruined after I weld the new rockers and door bottoms on anyway, I'm actually planning on painting it back blue when I'm done with the bodywork
