1952 FL Harley Davidson Panhead Chopper / Block Plane Studio

1952 Panhead we are getting ready to list on EBay. This motorcycle is about as perfect as it gets, with all the classic period chopper parts and rarities. Perfect 1952 engine, with matching cases and 52 from bottom to top with no repairs and clean and clear title. Less than 500 miles on a full engine and transmission rebuild, with a rebuilt Linkert M74B and cool Superior flying bird J slot air cleaner. Late 51 transmission, and a flawless uncut 1954 wishbone frame with all correct hallmarks and no previous repairs. Killer old paint 52 tanks with OEM badges, OEM 2 light dash and restored OEM speedo. Amazing old chrome offset springer, with OEM springer brake, star hub laced to a WM1 Jones hoop. Flanders bars, with Doherty throttle and OEM controls. Bates/KD light, Bates seat with Selle Giuliari Pad, -68 Guide Brake light, custom narrowed sporty rear fender with custom sissy bar. Rear wheel is OEM star hub laced to a old chrome Kelsey Hayes hoop, OEM chain guard and oil bag. OEM inner and outer primary, OEM early kickstand, floorboards and foot controls caps off an incredible period piece and sure to turn heads wherever it rolls. Starts in 1 kick and runs like a top. The perfect 60’s chopper with all the period flair.

This is a quintessential 50’s-60’s style chopper. Not a bobber, not a bob-job. It’s a chopper. Ape hangers, custom narrow fender, and a sissy bar. Don’t get all caught up in the only thing that defines a “chopper” is being cut up or raked. That’s some modern day BS, just like the idea that anyone from that period called bikes “bobbers”. Bikes of this style from the 50’s and 60’s will always be considered choppers. If you don’t agree, that’s fine. Doesn’t make you right ;)

I certainly know what it’s like myself to be addicted to these bikes, so you’re not alone there ;) this bike sold for $24,200 US, but depending on parts and condition a rigid panhead like this will bring between 15-25K here in the states.

Nope. All Harley’s up until 1970 are titled to the engine. This bike is assembled out of parts from the 40’s and 50’s, but no matter what, it will always be a 52, because that’s what the VIN number on the title is 🤙🏻💨💨💨

@@blockplanestudio Its opposite In europe. Here the frame is the bikes identity. I have a 55 FLH where the engine is a 49 panhead and the gearbox is from 60 or 61. The old harleys at a certain point needed to have a serial# hammered in the frame for them to be legal.

@@ChristianRB89interesting considering there is no such thing as a 55 frame number. Don’t know how they do it over there, but here titles only go to the frame on Harley’s starting in 1970. You can stamp any number you want in a frame, but in any real Harley world, you are always gonna have a 49 panhead 🤷🏼‍♂️😁 Hope you are out there riding it today! 💨💨
