Looks like you need clamp-on pallet forks. Nice video.

Great explanation. You thoroughly diagnosed this issue. Even I could understand you process. Well done. I look forward to the engine's return and whatever else you do in the meantime. As always, I'm rootin fer ya.

Perfect diagnosis, I hope the block can be repaired but I must admit to having my doubts as it’s so extensively cracked. If it is of no use then I hope a replacement block isn’t hard to find nor too expensive. Looking forward to the updates.

Yes, it will be interesting to find out the extent of the failure.

Good diagnosis!! Since the engine is out, have you thought about changing the rear end gear ratio? Now would be a good time if that's something you're contemplating. I don't even know if gear sets are available for that though. Perhaps a different rear end? You're probably pushing 3,000 rpm at 40 mph with the current setup.

Thanks! No, we're going to leave this truck mostly stock. It will just be used for short distance pleasure driving.

Great stuff Erik! I hope it's not terminal for the block but fear that it could be....... Are they readily available? We don't have them in the UK as far as I know.

There are still some good used ones floating around. Nothing new of good quality as far as I know.

Might be a good time to drop in the Hurricane 6 cyl.
