Love Leonard's quotes: "drive down the road, everybody stands at attention", "drives like a Cadillac" , "every man should have a Cadillac once in his life" Plus I learned something "Dagmars" (well I wonder what that shape has in common with her? ; ) You said it Leonard.

That is one beautiful Cadillac man, so much class and personality. Lot of love and care has been putt in to this car for sure. You are right the U.S was it couple decades ago, U.S knew who they were what they want, though even today it is a superpower things have changed. Today if you want a car with class and personality you got to shell out a couple 100,000 but back in the day a middle class man could afford awesome muscle car. Its a shame but thanks for showing us this piece of art!!!

ScottieDTV -Yes my good buddy, It was your usual cool self Scottie. -Keep up the essential work here man. This is documenting historical vehicles, the like of which they will (doubtless) never build again, and your easy chatting to 'The man who Owns one' (yes I know that's a Packard ad. ref !) always provides some anecdotes relating to the endearing characteristics of the car's personality, how it behaves/drives tech stats, styling, possible market appreciation of each car and its history. Have a good one Scottie = )

Keep up the Great work. This history needs to be recorded. People need to see how it was. How an optimistic vision of post war America is epitomised by these types of cars. Much other history is about austerity, poverty and struggle. We get quite Enough of that thanks. These cars are a Celebration of the new found wealth of industry, when gas was CHEAP and 'Made in the USA' was on all products. ...Instead of um.. (well, you know.)

I love it when Scottie says "Can we see under the hood." It sounds like he is a kid in a candy store. If I had 40k I would take it in a heart beat but I just spent 40k on my new handicap vehicle. It's called the MV1.if you get time look them up. They are better than any convertion van. It's built from ground up. I recommend it to anyone that is crippled

Scottie,I need an answer? I just purchased a 1952 Cadillac Coupe DeVille she is a 4 door but has sit for over 45 years, and original colors were Black out side, and a copper color interior! If we look at it from a Hot Rod God such as Scottie D from Tennessee,by the way my sis and brother n law are in Johnson City Tenn, but every time I watch you you say make a change? I want to keep a conservative side but a little Hot Rod? Your opion is pretty valuable, and the plus is?? It will pull our 1949 Glider RV Trailer, this will coincide with car’s color? We are around a year away from throwing paint on it,but my God son and his brothers will be doing custom paint! These young cat’s are Latino and talented! Thanks Scottie D from Tenn.God Bless man. Also any advise will be directly contributed to you the Scottie D world networks.

Your right...everything cool doesn't cost a couple of hundred grand...but still well over 30 and that mean payments over $600 and that's a lot for the average person..ppl do it..but they struggle to make the payments and than there is insurance and gas at over $3 a gallon...it's ruff on someone that wants a new Hot Rod...

In the early 60's I had a paper route in a lower class part of town. For reasons I never understood quite a few of the people living in cheap apartments had 53 - 55 caddys. I loved how those cars looked and have always wanted to own one. Those years had a style and class that is truly ageless. When you saw them you knew you really were looking at the standard of the world. The only cars I would say had, for me anyway, a similar style and class were the 60 thru 67 Lincolns. They looked like they were made from a solid billet, unlike the latter Lincolns that just looked like overdressed mercuries made of cheap tin.

Scotty.... I don't think by the way you're doing this interview that you can really comprehend what a gem you have on your hands right there that collar package on that Coupe is probably the most desirable of that year or at least in the top 5...... I think you could have did a better job as in respect to the car and it's owner rather than that very nice video
