That’s such a great piece. Pure Americana without being obvious. The build quality is obvious, the care and attention to detail is a world away from what I’d expect. It’s a thing of beauty.

Oh My Goodness!!!! My first car was a 54 Ford F-100. What memories.... I really enjoyed the Show of this truck. To your surprise and mine is that My truck was emerald green in color and looked very much like this in color. I had to sell it when in College (78) and have always wanted another one. My hats off to Noah Alexzander - He really did the Truck proud. Thank for your show Jay..

I love it . This is so nice. The one thing I would like to see is a little more rubber on the rims. That low profile rubber-band look on a classic doesn't look right to me personally.

It’s refreshing to see a ‘53 build instead of another ‘56. I like the ‘55 grill the best out of the ‘53 to ‘56 models , the fact that it still has mirrors and door handles as apposed to being shaved is a nice touch as well. I would have liked to see the undercarriage and the way the bed was floor was raised and mounted. Not a fan of the wheels, but it is a beautiful build none the less.

I love this truck. I think Mr. Noah did a fantastic job by putting the owners personal touches on it while still retaining the soul of ole '53. It looks new and it looks '53. Plus the Green with the "bronze" and the brown leather just look spectacular. Those seats really do look like they are the age of the truck but still fresh. I could almost smell the leather through my screen.

I never comment on much of anything, but I enjoyed the hell out of this one. What a great build and you can tell how natural that was. Every so often one of these builders just comes across as insanely passionate and humble about their work. PS, that volume is horrific...glad I'm not the only one. Cranked my laptop speakers and could barely hear it.

My best friend in 1971 had a '53 he bought for $300. Over the next 2 years he built it into one gorgeous truck. He repainted it the original Surf Green with stock steel wheels he painted red, with the original hub caps. After he beefed up the entire drive train, tranny, installed a 9 inch rear end, and modified the suspension he installed a rebuilt 427 medium riser. That truck looked good and was wicked fast. He won a lot of money with that truck after, well, you know, deserted street races at 2:00 am. RIP Dennis...

My dad and I built one of these! Painted in the SoCal White with the red scallops. 500 c.i. Caddy motor with an aggressive cam!Red and white tuck and roll with white carpet (against my wishes) . 3” collectors off the headers that dumped in front of the rear axle with the classic 2” chrome tips “T’d” off to the rear. People would be gobsmacked hearing the huge noise with little pipes. Went to Bonneville, mounted a 2x8 piece of wood to the front and push started a SoCal speedster!

i like that truck its dang sure sweet. i just went to a car show a couple months ago and there was a 49 chevy 1/2 ton that looked great but when i found out that no one has ever set in the seats it has never even been started and he never plans on letting anyone sit in the seat or start it. i just laughed at him and walked away. and whats sad is it was the best looking truck there. and when the votes was over i think he ended up with 100 volts out of over 20000 volts.and i'm sure he only got them because people didn't read what he wrote about it. it was one of them where the people that went to the show got to vote. and then they posted the results on a screen. i think he pulled his truck out the 2nd day and it was a 5 day show. but also every car show i have ever went to everything had to be able to start and drive under its own power.

I started working for my dad the day I turned 16 and his 55 Ford ( very similar) was my transportation to and from work, so this takes me back. It was dark blue and had sat for 4 of its 5 years in a barn so it had low miles and was like new. it had a 272 V8 and 3 speed standard again, like new. I don't like the absence of chrome on this one nor do I like those wheels and tires but aftermarket parts are a matter of personal taste to be sure.

The only thing lacking in production is that the audio levels are always mixed too low. Please raise your levels.

No the dynamic range is too high. The difference between the lowest and the loudest parts are like in a classical music concert...

What a SWEET truck. I'm a huge fan of the early 50's Fords... Great powerplant with plenty of power for a truck that light.

Jerrod Justice my tv is almost full blast right now too. Audio is always pretty low for the garage episodes.

jay needs to do more of these simply because they are so easy to get in and out of as opposed to the exotic sports cars. trucks and classic resto mod trucks are great.

I love the use of the bronze it’s one of my favourite things when people use colours that way. Like, flat black, black chrome or rose gold to dull the chrome areas

Ive been a chevy fan since age 12. But the 53 Ford is a gorgeous truck. Absolute love the grill, and the iconic v8 badge. Nice build.
