So cool! I'm not a car builder guru - there's just something about these Willys pickups that I love.

A Slant-6 is a great replacement motor for the original Hurricane-6 that came in these trucks. There are literally bomb-proof...

In 1976 I drove my 1946 CJ-2A home from Prairie Du Chien, WI to Platteville, WI (48.miles ) with zero brakes and steering that was so loose it took 1/2 rotation of steering wheel to get wheels to respond. Only one stop sign the whole way and double clutched into 1st gear to slow to California style stop.

Doug Eck I also had an old ‘65 ford ranch wagon with a bad wheel cylinder that I was too poor to replace. I became used to stopping with no brakes.

Dodge 225 6 is a good donor engine. Probably better than the original super hurricane six that it came with. Sharp truck, enjoy.

I just drove one that had sat for 30 years , chassis rusted straight through, rusty body , it was still fun. If you were in low range then you were in 4wd as there is a interlock stopping you from selecting low without first selecting 4wd,

Now, dual exhaust, some flowmasters, etc.,.

Dual exhaust a waste, larger single adequate; flowmaster obnoxious.
