1954 Citroen Traction Avant Light 15 Overview, Features and Walk Around

A review of my 1954 Traction Avant Light 15. This car was one of the most revolutionary designs of the 20th century. Most cars on the road today owe something to the Traction Avant.
This particular car was built in Britain.

Only a loving curator could put this information over. She was never yours, anymore than she will be the property of the new buyer. She's to be cared for as she passes along. She'll be glad you were one of the stops on the way. That goes for me too.

Interesting as I just bought a die cast model I became interested in these cars as they was built in UK for the British market .

Built in Slough, the factory now makes Mars Bars etc.

Can you tell me what the specification of the red colour used on this car. I have a car of a similar colour and is about to be resprayed and I would like to to get the colour right. My car has been reimported back to the UK from New Zealand. I would appreciate any help you can give me.

The original colour was Regal Red, not sure if that helps. It was a standard colour on many British cars of the era, not just the slough Citroens. It would have been a bit darker than my old car - looking inside the boot and engine bay the original colour is still present and its a bit darker - It would appear when the car was painted in the 90s they went with a lighter shade.

Interesting the round instrument were used in Austin cars, I had the model with the square instrument panel and the sporty steering wheel the one with the individual spokes, usually the Citroen chevron was inside of the grill front great cars I loved mine however being 19 years old when I owned one

Most of them were square. Round was only for 54 and 55 if I understand correctly.

all the french built cars were after the war, but the Slough cars were available in multiple colours such as Regency red in the case of this one.
