Getting caught up on your videos. You're right it was hit and the front fenders might have been replaced years ago when OEM parts were they available. Aftermarket don't fit as well but that's life. These cars are 70 years old now since the model year came out in later 54 for the 55 year.

Thanks, I’m going to have to! I was under the car again this morning and was able to push a screwdriver right into the frame between where those reinforcement patches were welded on.

Just get a rust free original set of inner front fenders. They usually go for about 250. I got a set in mint condition I'm not gonna use building a 55 gasser I'll probably sell them at some point.

@@timbrown6459 thanks for the heads up but I’ve already repaired this frame. Haven’t had a chance to post a video yet but a couple days ago I got the body back on the frame with the rear suspension bolted in.
