The first car I ever owned was a 9 year old 55 Ford two door hard top. I have been blessed to own several 55s and several 56s in my life but none looked as good as yours. Thanks for sharing. That color is just plain beautiful.

My Question is could you get hold of another one? Man the memories created watching this video. True story, as a kid growing up on Saturdays my uncles and their friends would all hang out at my grand parents home. All day waxing, and detailing cars of this vintage. I mean man cars lined up one side of the street and down the other. Just an amazing thing to witness. And my uncle had this 'WHEEL STANDING 55' FORD W/PRIMER PAINT." Sweet Memories.

Our race car had a spool rear end and believe me it was a pain in the ass. Are the wipers still vacuum? I drove my 55 a half million miles on three engines. The Fordomatic lasted the whole time.

The 4 bolt 427's were side oilers not center oilers.

hay gm guy ford all are center oiler. referring to center oil galley down center of block. until 1965 427 were changed to side oil, blocks

Oh !! For peats sakes people, Fords have been 12 volt as far back as 1949 and maby earlier than that !!!!

why did my brand new 55 ford come from the factory with 6volt? and my uncle Bob's 54 ford wagon was 6volt. it wasn't until 1956 that Ford went to 12volts.

No way. Either you got a hold of converted cars or you fried a few electrical systems.

YOU MUST BE A GM GUY ALL FORDS WERE 6VOLT UNTIL 1956 THEN 12V.
