It sounds wonderful. As far as old guitars go, I think the D-18 sounds better than anything else alive. It's like a warm blanket.

That Mahogany D18 is a real Beauty . Life is what You make of it. Screw anybody else that has an opinion about your music and instruments! They're not You!... I have a 2014 D28 Custom! I bought it last new years eve....I floated out of the music store....and I'm still flying every time I open the case.... I keep asking myself, How come it sounds So Good!!! Someone told me in 2007, get a D28 .. and I finally did.

Thank you for playing your wonderful guitar for us! Your playing is well suited to demonstrate the rich, ringing tones of the guitar. You clearly have become one with your instrument. I also worked to earn money for my next term of college only to change plans and spend the money on a Martin D-28S I fell in love with. It had a wider than usual neck, which helped me since I came from a classical guitar and picked with my fingers rather than a plectrum. And its intoxicating tones engulfed my soul. I eventually finished my degree, but I think that guitar enriched my life more than the college experience. It certainly helped me maintain sanity during periods of high stress. I played it and sang in coffee houses during college and for a while afterward. I still have and cherish the guitar. I hope one of my children will love it well when my time comes to leave this earth. I'm glad a quality instrument can outlive us and continue to bring joy to others. Thank you for your videos.

Wonderful and I agree......thank you for the video.....I play and collect the Guild Mark series of classical guitars. My main or favorite is my 61 Mark VI which is older than me by a few years.....recently I repaired a 63 Guild F30 which is a gem......keep playing!

1973 Martin D-35. Sounds like God coming over the hill. It's taught me more than any other guitar.

I have the same guitar. It was my Dad's. Just got it repaired/restored for better playing. I was more classically trained...but will spend a bit more time learning how to pick play. Your playing is excellent.

I have played At playing guitar for many years. I still am just a mediocre rhythm guitar player, but there are two instruments that piqued my interest to start playing at all. One is a 1956 Gibson LG 1 that was my Mom's and I learned to play on. The other is a 1965 Gibson Country Western model that my uncle got brand new and I recently inherited. Several guitars have come and gone through the years and I probably own newer guitars that are more valuable monetarily, but those two are here to stay until I am gone and someone else takes over the stewardship. Thanks for good video

Those sound like two good ones. I love an old Gibson acoustic guitar!

Man, I’m kind of sad that I won’t get to hear my 2019 D18 get to that age. Oh well, at least I get to break it in for the person that will.

Fun to think about what that might sound like, though! Those are good guitars!
