I think Mercury claimed that they put out 16hp, but that is certainly debatable.

Damn... That is one strong antique motor you've got there, Mercury has always had the fastest motors, underrating the hp rating to maintain their edge. Evinrude, the last of the 2 strokes exercised the same ways as they were allowed a 10% variance, meaning the G2 150ho was really 165hp., they dusted any 4 stroke.
