I have always thought making a coupe out of a sedan looks so much cooler than just a coupe. Obviously, it takes great skill and a special talent to accomplish it. I always look forward with anticipation what ever Mr. Ian creates. Thanks for sharing. I hope all has a happy and healthy day. Cheers!!
@garycamara99556 ай бұрын
You mean a hard top? A coupe can be a 2dr sedan as well.
@BuckBarker6 ай бұрын
@@garycamara9955 I beg to differ with you. A coupe is defined as having two doors and a sedan is defined by having four doors.(google definition of coupe auto and definition of sedan auto)You refer to a hard top. A hard top is a two door with no B pillar. A post is a car with a B pillar. I hopes this clears up in misunderstanding. I wish you a happy and healthy day. Cheers!! Also, if you’re a music fan , please check me out out@ KZbin Larry Buck Barker Original Music.

I'm working on a 57 Catalina moredoor hardtop. Found it on FB just up the road. I'm now the 3rd owner. Solid old car. 99% intact. Motor rebuilt then parked a few decades ago. It's a canvas. Outside I have a kinda rare 53 Packard 2door hardtop.

Your projects look great when completed, but it just drives me crazy knowing how much bare metal and rust you cover up with new metal. No grinding, no sanding, no primer... it's just nuts.

Chop my 64 Impala coupe the car outta da body shop. Primer and block sanded . Glass is Pretty Good. How does a guy remove old tint film. Doesn't look all that bad but at night hmm ? Wish I was financially solvent but that's not the case. So I guess I just let it be what it is... You do amazing work Sir. !!! Bloody Good.

Sorry, Ian, I can't with chopping and channeling, smoothing, frenching, and all the late '40s and '50s customs. You do great work, as far as I can tell, but yeah, I can't. It was great - in the '40s and '50s, and even the '60s when there were plenty of these cars around. Now that they've gotten rarer and rarer, I hate even the thought of butchering these cars. It's too Jesse James of Monster Garage for me. Best of luck.

I do not understand the pocket you fabbed under the windshields. Tell me you got the top & sides of the glass locked in and then trimmed the bottom of the glass and pieced together the bottom of the steel perimeter... The way you work when you have a clear vision, I think puts that at half a day for a complete fully welded continuous integrated glass frame. Hiding it with the chrome trim??? Is this the sarcasm portion of the program?
