It's amazing how in the 50's all the car companies had the most powerful, best handling and most comfortable riding car in the industry. You gotta wonder who did make that car?

This commercial is nice. Instead of just throwing some cinematic shots at you with "THE ALL NEW 2077 CYBERCHEESE ULTIMA" in the background, they actually tell you why it's good.

@@BentleyTypeR My mother had a green and white 56 Bel-Air convertible until around 1964. We gave it to my older brother because he needed a car. He in turn traded it in on a late model used 63 Falcon convertible and that was the end of the 56 Chevy. The last time I saw it was parked in front of the local high school with risers and slicks on the back. I wish we'd kept it.

@@1940limited Ah. Sucks. I wish that my dad still had his 57' Plymouth. It had a full race hemi, dual carb. It could do a wheelie in 2nd gear. He sadly dropped a piston while trying to sell it. He brought it to the mechanic shop. The mechanic said what he could do, but he can't guarantee that it will leave the shop.

I had a 1957 2door 210 when I was a kid.(at least, I was told it was mine. And I claimed it.) It didn't have a title. And was pretty rough. However, all there. It was black with black, silver and white interior. And a 235 inline 6 cylinder. 3 speed transmission. I sat many a day, dreaming of driving a 57 Chevy. Always my dream car. My uncle sold it for $800 about 25 years later. Since it ended up on his property. I had first dibs. It was too far gone.

Why aren’t the Big Three making retro models from the 50’s? Can you imagine the sales on a ‘57 Chevy or ‘59 Caddy? Something with with big fins, two tone paint, chrome bumpers and body molding, and hood ornaments but rounded over with today’s suspension and technology?
