Many in the Southeast will tell you that this man was the best stock car driver that they've ever seen on a race track.. I witnessed many years of it myself. Crew was amazing as well. Shop only a few miles from track, blows motor in qualifying, team leaves track riding on side of trailer pulling motor on way to shop. Returned not long after and makes race. Unreal. This man is the real deal.

Wow that's one gorgeous build there he really did a great job. He seems to modest not to call himself a professional in a way he is. So he doesn't do this for a living but I think he is a professional it takes quite a bit of talent to do this kind of work.

Back in the late '70s I built a Revell model of a 1957 Bel Air in the same colors and in the decals there was a small script that I put on the rear quarter glass that read 'The Lavender Lady' ..Brought back memories ..I haven't thought about that model in many years , Thanks Lou .

This video brings me back to a time when cars were souped-up in 40's-50's and 60's. My era as a youth was the 1950's. I didn't really reflect on how talented young people really were in those days until this beatiful example was featured here. They were in a sense art design engineers in those days. Good video.

I agree with you, Lou; whether or not he considers himself to be a professional, that is a professionally built car. I like how he took bits and pieces from various automobiles and fit them on the car and made it work. The decorations and the FUNCTIONAL clock on the continental kit are really something else. Gotta love that growl he got when he revved the engine. That car is a real work of art.

First off, that's one of the most beautiful colors ever on a car. This is the only car I've ever seen look this good this close to the ground. I'm sure Chip Foos has learned a great deal from this artist/craftsman. This is the most fascinating car I've ever seen.

Those headlights make it look like a 56 Lincoln. He's right about everyone uses the 56 Clipper taillights to give it that wild boomerang rear. But, these Chrysler lites look almost as good.

That guy does professional work. =] Any car worthy of George Barris and Gene Winfield's signature is the real deal! Us youngsters like myself need to soak up as much information from these folks as we can to keep the legacy rollin'. Theres a lot of talent and information there that is going to disappear if we dont. Thats why any car show i go to i try to talk to these people and hear their stories and learn as much as i can.
