283 sounds pretty decent! I can't believe you aren't going ls! 👍🇨🇦 I've seen clutches that looked much worse than that one!

Love the old 283s, they just love the RPM or Rip M s. Short stroke square bore (stroke and bore very similar dimension)

That little 283 gets going pretty good. Gonna be a really different car with that 355. Remember ripping around in a friend's '68 Nova back in the mid-70s with a 283, comp cam, 4-barrel, 4-speed with 4.56 gears. It would get up and go. Fun car to rip around in. It became a totally different car when he wedged a built 454 into it. Then it just got scary as a street car. He made it into strictly a strip car (called it Monster Nova) about a month later and he still races it today as far as I know, still with the original block and heads. Look forward to more on the 150. Be safe and stay well.

Those newer chrome accessories sure do roach out immediately these days, I put some old MT valve covers on my Chevy, but I use Nev'r dull on the air cleaner all the time lest it rust from the humidity here.

Sounds good, but Dave, i see the problem. Left foot off the clutch! Dont even rest it. Like one old fella said”you should put wing nuts on the bellhousing” in a thick ukrainian accent😂 I have used vacuum pump on resevoir. Couple pumps and release. Rinse and repeat.

Yeah that is one thing I like to ask the younger generation, where do u put the gas ⛽️???? As they walk around my 56 chevy sport sedan and my 57 chevy 150 . Love the hidden gas cap on these two years of cars

Question, Why the block to limit clutch release? Would it make the throwout bearing do too much work if the clutch was pushed too far away from the flywheel?
