Wow, unbelievable that in 1957 GM had the wild idea to use the US Navy to promote and sell their cars to the public after WW2. It paid off as well because the 1957 Chevrolet out sold the Great Ford Motor Company that year. Also the styling of the 1957 Chevrolet Be lair used jet inspired theme design features that really appealed to customers. Even today the 1957 Chevrolet be lair is still considered a very popular collector car. Their are companies that sell every part to restore this wonderful model Chevrolet. Since demand is still very high for the 1957 Chevrolet Be lair a company is also making the 2 door complete body sections for the Hardtop, Sedan, & beloved Convertible. This is great news if you have a four door 1957 Chevy and want to convert it to a popular 2 door model car.

jdmdealers FALSE. Ford, sold 1,655,068 (to be accurate, including the Thunderbird); Chevrolet, 1,515,177 in 1957. This is why the internet is dangerous kids... www.hemmings.com/blog/article/the-best-there-ever-will-be-1957-chevrolet/

What a shame so many people were played for suckers with these defective deathtraps with a defective frame design that ended up killing scores of people at even low speed. I wonder how many people GM paid off?

Shawn Miller what an ass you are

Wrong, Shawn....it was the '58 and up that had the new design frame that was later discovered not as safe as the '57 and older.

@@alanalonso6082 Restore and preserve it. You know what the original looks like because you watched the video. Factory original brings in the most $$.

Watch a color version of the video for a '57 or perhaps you would think differently if you saw a resto-mod of the car all tricked out. They look very cool lowered with a well thought out paint scheme. Grandpa and Grandma remember the car when they were new and possibly aunts and uncles.
