And Ivan just a note, the correct pronunciation is “flexible” just as if the “e”is there. The company began making a flexible system for a motorcycle sidecar unit. They could not trademark the generic word flexible, so they just dropped the e and trademarked “flxible”. So ther you have it, the history, pronunciation, and origin of the strange spelling of the Flxible bus company. 👍🏻

We have one of these at Bus Boys Collection. Completely original. We drove it to Blytheville a few years ago. Straight 671, no turbo. runs fine, don't need it. Turbos are a pain in the you know what. I would never own a bus with one. It also doesn't have air horns on the roof or a tachometer screwed to the dash, staring us in the face.

WOW. Your face when you saw the built-in toaster and can-opener.....priceless. Also the ancestor of a digital clock on the microwave made me think of an old alarm clock i had. I would have liked to hear the sound of that old Detroit. I understand it's not yours but keep that in mind for the next one. Thanks for the trip back in time.

They might want to consider replacing the mattress with a shorter RV Queen mattress that’s 5” shorter. Correctly sized sheets & bedding is available in this size.

My ‘55 Flxible had purple (not faded red) rear bullet lenses up top....they are pretty much unobtanium

Was the original engine a 4-71? Is the transmission a four speed? Do you plan to do follow-ups (monthly?)as the mechanical and later exterior is brought up to snuff?

Originally it had a Cummins JT 600. It still has the original 4 speed, and yes we will be doing follow ups.

@@LacroixCruiser is it being re-powered? Just about anything available today will have way more than the 175hp a Cummins JT 600 would have had. an old 5.9 cummins would turn this into an interstate monster at half the weight of the 6-71.
