Kirk Douglas drove very similar 1957 Ford (blue and white) convertible in 'Strangers When We Meet".....(1960)..along with lots of other beautiful cars in movie

My favorite car of all times. I had two of them . The first was in 1960 the Custom 500, shown here at KZbin, the green one. In1964 I traded it fir a model that was A 56-58 version, jet black with a sweeping Gold and chrome bar on each side of the car. The engine was a 358 cu in V8 , police intercepted, with a two barrel carb. I put that one up on blocks when I went into the Army. Upon my return I found out my car had been stolen while I was gone. Imagine stealing a young soldiers car while he is in country overseas. The local VFW ran a raffle for me and I won the 72 Grand Torino. Nothing….nothing, no car ever measured up to my 1957 Ford Fairlane models. How i would love to have one again. I turn 80 in a few days and somehow think my wish will never ever happen. But I can dream cant I?

Had a 2 door 57 Fairlane 500 yellow and brown. Went 115 MPH in it.

Looks to be a very nice '57. I'm guessing the lucky buyer got a great car. Contrary to popular ideas, Ford outsold Chevy in '57. Ford models like the Skyliner and the Sunliner helped add glamour to the line, even if those particular models didn't sell that well. Thanks for the video.
