Is a Triumph of thrust over aerodynamics long live the American V8

I was there with my father and a friend of mine. Was 14 years old and can remember the wreck when Bobby Myers was killed. Am 80 years old and now live 12 miles from the racetrack but that was the only race that i ever attended. That was REAL racing!!

Man, that was racing. Risk your life kind of racing, but way more down to earth and interesting than the high tech highly refined racing of today.

AWESOME! I love the old footage! I would pay $500 for a ticket to go see a race if they were running old cars like that.

I could not imagine those speeds on bias ply tires ! I've driven a lot faster than that race. And sweat my high priced high speed radials ! You can't feel the rupture bump till you slow down .... or blow out

Say what you want the men of this error much better( racers) then what we have today . They want street tires driving stock cars literally .. You know anyone they could do that today ?
