What was never mentioned is the interior of this car. I was living in a wealthy part of Rome (Parioli) and this guy had that car, I still remember it (I'm 80 now) it was white with pink or salmon pink leather seats.. What a beauty.

Now, as you know, the BMW 507 priced, not sold, just "priced" , the highest is a 1957 model, chassis # 70079, currently being shown in its own exhibit at the BMW Museum in Munich. According to Norwegian authorithies in charge of exhibiting the car during the weekend of October 28 to 31, 2022 ( at that year's Oslo Motor Car Show), the estimated cost of the car is $18 m. That unit was driven by six different people, two in Germany and four in the United States. The first was a German race car driver, Hans Stuck Senior. Sometime later, there was its third owner, Tommy Charles, the DJ who wanted the Beatles banned for their contention that they were more popular than Jesus., followed by three more US nationals namely CK Thompson, Lloyd Cottle and finally Jack Castor. But it was its second owner, or rather, its sole leaser, Elvis Presley, who made the car MEGA famous. When he was given the keys, in late December of 1958, he was a private in the US Army, and when in March of 1960 , the car was sold for $4,000 to a Chrysler dealership in NYC,. he was a Sgt. Here it is, in Oslo.
